If you are involved in an accident while using a Welgo bike, it is essential that you stay at the scene and follow these steps:

- Stay at the scene and wait for the police to report the accident. In Germany, it is required by law to remain at the accident site until the police have arrived and all necessary information has been exchanged.
- If the bike cannot be ridden safely after the accident, follow the instructions below for handling the bike. In case of any doubts or if you are in shock, do not ride the bike.
2. How do I file a police report after the accident?
The police will document the accident at the scene. Make sure to inform them that the damaged bike is owned by Welgo Deutschland GmbH, Dorfstraße 26, 15366 Berlin. The police report is essential for processing the case, so be sure to ask for a copy or obtain the report number.
3. What if the bike is no longer safe to ride?
If the bike is damaged and cannot be ridden safely, follow these steps:
- Park the bike safely on the side of the road, ensuring it is not obstructing traffic.
- Remove the battery and take it with you for security reasons.
- Mark the exact location of the bike using Google Maps. Take a screenshot of your current location to share with us.
